Introduction
The ATMS Foundation, revitalized in Mauritius in 2022, charts a renewed path forward from its inception as a Netherlands-based entity initiated by the UNDP and IFC in 1996. This strategic plan underscores the Foundation’s commitment to driving human capital development and sustainable economic growth in Africa, with a focused agenda on human capital development, management expertise, SME support, strategic investments, fund management, and comprehensive engagement.
The African Training and Management Services Foundation (ATMS Foundation), established in 2022 in Mauritius, represents a strategic evolution in the realm of African charitable endeavors. Originating as a successor to the Netherlands-based ATMS Foundation, which was initiated by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in 1996, the Mauritius-based entity renews the commitment to accelerating human capital development and sustainable economic progress across Africa. This transformation underlines a dedication to adapting and enhancing its influence within the continent’s development landscape.
